Honda Blues

Cartrackers.com: "Emissions warranty up to 80K applies ONLY for catalytic converter and PCM (Power Control Module). I had the same P1457 code for my 'Check Engine Light' on my 1998 Honda Accord EX. According to TSB from HONDA problem could be with PCM (and it would be covered up to 80K) or with evaporative canister shut valve (regular coverage till 36K only) depending on some testing results involving open/close readings from primary oxygen sensor. I went to HONDA dealer hoping it's my PCM - but I was wrong. I paid $201 for evaporative canister shut valve replacement about 2 month ago. Light didn't come back. "

WTF is a fuel emission filter?? I've heard of fuel filters but never a fuel emission filter.

I can tell you that the fuel filters on a 6th gen. do not need to be replaced because they are inside the tank. you can't access them unless you remove the tank, etc.

Cartrackers.com: "Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the information posted here. I had the same 'Check Engine Light On' issue and was caused by not properly caping the fuel tank. I closed it properly and still it won't go away. Then I checked with a local car expert and he asked me to reset the fuse from under the car hood on the pasanger side. It is in a box and it's number is 12 and is called 'Back Up, ACC'. Took it out and put it back in after 30 secs and the problem is gone.
The Honda dealer wanted 150 for doing this.
No wonder they suck.
Thanks
Raman "
